Including a comprehensive article by WHW, on themes that are relevant to the conceptual framework of the Biennial, the Reader provides diverse perspectives to the viewers. Moreover, the Reader includes texts by Meltem Ahıska, Bertolt Brecht, Boris Buden, Ayşe Buğra, Eda Cufer, Gökçe Dervişoğlu, Mladen Dolar, Süreyyya Evren, Morad Farhadpour, Luis Ignacio Garcia, Brian Holmes & Claire Pentecost, Minqi Li, Omnia El Shakry and Stephen Wright. What Keeps Mankind Alive? also includes information regarding the participating artists of the Biennial and statistics about the budget structure of the exhibition. The Biennial Guide is prepared in order to provide detailed information about the artists and their works exhibited in the Biennial. The Guide includes venue plans, a Biennial map, informative texts about the artists and their works, as well as visuals from projects, statistics about the budget structure of the exhibition, and texts written by WHW and Ulrike Gerhardt. This publication can be purchased at the Biennial venues for 10 Euro.
